GrapheneforUS2021 Online Conference
This event will be organised by:
- Phantoms Foundation, Spain
- The University of Texas at Dallas, USA
- Rensselaer, USA
- Columbia University, USA
- PennState University, USA
GrapheneforUS 2021 online will be a 2 days event that means to gather the key players of the Graphene Community and related sectors. This event is launched again following the success of the 2018, 2019 & 2020 in-person editions and the lack of meetings in the field in the US. Graphenefor US is now already an established event attracting global participants and sharing, exchanging, exploring new avenues of graphene-related scientific and commercial developments.
The Industrial Forum will present the most recent advances in technology developments and business opportunities in graphene commercialization. Key representatives of "graphene companies" will share their market vision and business opportunities, while selected talks from industrial exhibitors will present commercial showcases in all current market fields of graphene products.
31 Keynote & Invited speakers confirmed - More info www.grapheneforus.com/2021/speakerski.php
The conference will feature Heildelberg as an exhibitor. There will be an online area where participants will be able to interact with sales representatives via chat or video chat. More info - www.grapheneforus.com/2021/exhibitionarea.php
On the other hand, I would like to recommend the following video which is a tutorial on Polycrystalline Graphene
Dr. Stephan Roche's talk was given during the online event Carbolinehagen2021
Bio: Prof. Stephan Roche is a theoretician with more than 25 years’ experience in the study of transport theory in low-dimensional systems, including graphene, carbon nanotubes, semiconducting nanowires, organic materials and topological insulators.
He has published more than 200 papers in journals such as the Review of Modern Physics, Nature Physics, Nano Letters and Physical Review Letters and he is the co-author of the book titled “Introduction to Graphene-Based Nanomaterials: From Electronic Structure to Quantum Transport” (Cambridge University Press, 2020-second edition). He received the qualification to supervise PhD students from the Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble, France) in 2004, and since then he has supervised more than ten PhD students and about 25 postdoctoral researchers in France, Germany and Spain. In 2009 Prof. Roche was awarded the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award by the Alexander Von-Humboldt Foundation (Germany) and, since 2011, he has been actively involved in the European Graphene Flagship project as deputy leader of the Spintronics Work Package (WP). He will serve as leader of this WP from April 2020 till March 2023, as well as Division leader of the Graphene Flagship.
In the next issue of this newsletter I will have the possibility to offer you the first of a series of interviews with young researchers. We are closing the interviews with the first researchers. Don't hesitate to subscribe if you haven't already done so.
Best regards and take care
